As wordless as I'll ever get

Short post today, and about as 'Wordless Wednesday' as I'll ever get.

The in-laws are in town for a few days! Really excited to see them and show them around our town. After reading many other blogs and hearing stories, I've gathered that I am pretty dang lucky to actually get along and enjoy my in-laws. They are great, and I am rubbing it in your face :)

They usually visit us once a year over in Europe. They come to Europe 3-4 times a year for business and we get them for a couple of days during one of those trips. Glad they are here in this nice weather, because I have a feeling there isn't going to be much to see in a few, too short of, months time.

The town isn't so big here, so there isn't much to see. But it is nice that everything is within walking distance. As for our plans...

I'm sure we will go visit the neighbors

I've got to find them one of these magical things

We'll be spending a few of our evenings here
I promise that people actually come to the game :)

And, of course, trying not to fly over the road and into the water. Love this sign!
I feel like there should be a man in there going 'weeeee!'

Have a good Wednesday. I'll be back in full force by the end of the week.

And you know what?? It has been waaay too long without a Frackin' Friday, doncha think?? I will have to get on learning Finnish cuss words pronto.

Or send me a foreign cuss word to feature! Click the link above if you are unfamiliar, and get to cursing in a whole new language.

  4. That sounds like an exciting trip! I saw one of those mushrooms for the first time this year, in New Zealand. Aren't they so Alice In Wonderland?

Also, I'm going to send you some cuss words. Because basically those are the ONLY words I know in so many languages.

  5. What they really need with that last sign, in addition to the falling man, is the Wilhelm Scream playing when anyone gets near.

  9. Have a super time and I too am amused by that sign. I personally like the 'SLOW Children playing signs' because if you read it one way it sounds ever so offensive hahaha!!!

  13. Who maintains that town. It looks like Disney World without the rides and crowds. You are so lucky.

  14. I just posted about my in-laws too, and about how we get along so well. I couldn't imagine if I had the typical 'we all hate each other' type of in-law situation. But apparently we are freaks of nature, for not wanting to kill ours.

  16. Whoa - that sign is almost identical to the Aussie one warning against running water! Although chances are most of OZ WON'T be in danger of inundation from snow melt ...

  17. That mushroom looks like right out of Brothers Grimm story!

  18. Hope you're having fun with the in-laws!! Mine are okay, I like them in small doses. Jake's mom just talks so loud, and she's not deaf at all. I don't get it. It's like she's always screaming but that's just her one and only volume level. Jake's dad lives in the past and always talks about his failed last marriage which is SO depressing, otherwise, he's a super nice guy. He's been divorced for years now and has no concept that he can date if he'd like. When I told him my mom got remarried at 50, it blew his mind. Like older people can't date or something. jeez.

  20. Good luck with the in-laws. So glad you realize how lucky you are. My ex mother-in-law disliked me from the start. And that was back when I was a much nicer, sweeter person. I took her little (30 yr old) boy away. Gross.
