Shout outs

Yesterday I was lucky enough to get linked up with this stylish award from Meri! As I mentioned in yesterday's post, thanks so much Meri! I am embracing my new status as a 'Stylish Blogger'. Whoohoo, My very first award! "You like me, you really like me" humble, aren't I haha.

From what I am lead to believe, there are a few regulations attached with this award. This is what I found online:

By accepting this award, you are agreed to the four "rules" that follow:
    1.    Thank and link back the person that awarded it to you
    2.    Share 7 things about yourself
    3.    Pay it forward to 15 recently discovered great Bloggers
    4.    Contact those Bloggers and tell them about their blog award

Number 1, done. Number 2, sounds easy enough. Number 3, wow 15! That is half my followers, I will stretch for 10...that's a lot of work! And number 4 is a no-brainer. I got this!

This couldn't have come at a better time. I am feeling a bit 'work-lagged' as I jump back into teaching this week. It is wearing me out right now. Well, not wearing me out as I would normally be busy back at home. But wearing me out where I don't want to race home and check facebook kind of way. Life's hard.
Anyway, so seven, somewhat interesting things about me. Could this be any broader?! Let's see...

*I majored in Classical Studies and Communication (picked up the latter because my mom about had a heart attack when I told her I switched my majors from Biology to Classics....at a liberal arts college). I was blessed to have found such a wonderful Public Relations job at The Children's Shelter in San Antonio, TX while I was living there. It is a loving institution that cares for abused, abandoned and neglected children.

* I thoroughly enjoyed learning German, it was really a challenge that I took head on. No way am I near where I want to be, but living over in Deutschland it will always be a work in progress. If only I had had that kind of drive in college, I might have actually learned something!

* I have full on conversations with the goaties that live in our front yard. And I feel guilty if I don't wave to them when I pass by.

*I got married at one of the most iconic places in Vegas: The Little White Chapel. We booked the Wednesday Night May Special. That included ceremony fees, flowers and boutonniere, photos, video and a limo for under $200. Parents, you are welcome for all the dough I saved ya :)

*Four summers ago, I worked on a gorgeous 80 foot sail boat as a Program Director for this amazing travel company, Poseidon Charters. I am so thankful I had the chance to live out one of my life dreams. But, it was by far the hardest and most beautiful jobs I have ever had. You try waiting on people hand and foot 24 hours a day, it gets old...fast.

*In college, I might have been known at the Karaoke Queen. I had a karaoke machine in my dorm room and rocked the heck out of our hall. I was certainly not known for my beautiful singing voice, which is far from good. But more so because I put my all into every song that came my way. No one gave more heart to those songs than I did, lol. Maybe I should think about joining this Karaoke Blog Ring of Death I keep hearing about.

*I have a really sick and twisted sense of humor. Something I am afraid to fully let out on this blog, less I might scare a few of you off. If any of ya'll have ever heard of Tim & Eric, you might have an idea of what I am talking about. For those of you who don't know, and care to click on the link, I'm warning you, what you will see cannot be unseen (and yes, it is all SFW).

So there, that wasn't so hard. Now, to spread the love. Here are a few of my recently found, favorite blogs, in no particular order:

  3. Well thank you so much for thinking of me. It is so nice to find that your Blog is liked isn't it?

What adventures you have had, and so SOOOO young. But then everyone seems to be young when you are as old as I.
Also I have to tell you that I am very impressed with your 'linking'. It always takes me ages and not always successfully.
