Get Excited!!!

Aw man is it easy to be a lazy bum while at home or what?!

And I am loving every second of it :)

I hope everyone had a great weekend and a wonderful Mother's Day. I know there are a lot of deserving moms out there, so I hope you were pampered right yesterday!

On Friday, I mentioned that I had a fun giveaway coming up. Weren't you so intrigued?? lol.

I figured that the Easter candy hangover had finally passed, so it is time to reveal my 2011 giveaway extravaganza!!! Ok, maybe it isn't that fancy, but hey, who doesn't like winning stuff??

Shhhh, don't tell customs, but I snuck back some extra special items from Germany. No, not the goatie, although I was tempted. Very tempted.

You remember Things You Never Knew Were German, right?!

Well I mentioned how Haribo and Trolli candies were made in Germany. So of course I had to bring a bunch back to share with one lucky reader.

German Goodie Giveaway Grand Prize includes:

Hey, if they look smooshed, they are. You try being in a suitcase on an airplane for 10 hours!

Haribo Starmix Mini Packs
Haribo Happy Cherries
Haribo Gummy Bears
Haribo Color-rado
Trolli Sour Gummy Worms
Ritter Sport Mini Pack (yummy German chocolate)
Hackle Butt Kissing Fresh Pack

Couldn't fool you, could I?! Saw that extra something in there, well how could you forget these babies???

Yep, brought back a few of those packs as well. Isn't this giveaway just awesome!?? Ha.

And actually, I found 3 packs at the store. So that means there will be 2 Runner-Up Prize Packages.

Those include:

Hakle Butt-Kissing Fresh Pack
Handful of Haribo Gummy Bear Mini Packs

There is no catch to the giveaway, nothing to 'like' or join. It is my way to say thank you for all the support and loving comments I have received over the last few months. I wish I could send something to every single one of my readers! But that might break the bank a bit.

Just sign into the linky list below, which I thought was the easiest way to keep track of you. Include your URL if you have one, and if not, it isn't required.

And tell your friends! Or don't. That way you'll have a better chance of winning :)

Again, this is just a tiny show of my gratitude to the great readers and supporters of TexaGermaNadian. You guys rock!

Have a great Monday, and don't forget to enter!!! Entries are open until midnight Sunday, May 15th. And the winners will be drawn at random. Good luck!

Zombie Sunday 4/10

April 10th?! Seriously, already!? Ok then...

Mosey on over for a good ol' lazy Zombie Sunday! I think because of that, he needs one of these:

Mini cowboy hat for the dude
There, that's better!

Another quiet Sunday here in Germany, oh, except for the fact that there is another home game tonight in the series and I already have butterflies in my stomach. There is nothing wrong with having a drink to take the edge off things, right?! Even if it is only 10 am, right?!

Ha, yeah right, I can barely handle coffee in the morning. Give me a Mimosa now and I wouldn't even make it to the game. My college self would be ashamed of me now :)

Some of ya'll have asked which team the hubs plays for so ya'll can cheer/follow along. IF they win tonight, big 'if', come on, you know how superstitious I am :) then maybe I will let ya'll in on who he plays for. (It is no secret, really any one with half the sense to google can probably figure it out). You see, IF they win tonight, they will be in the finals. IF. Can I say IF enough?

Nope.

IF.

Anyways, apparently this is the hottest April that southern Germany has had in a very long time. While the Germans are freaking out how 'hot' it is (people, seriously, visit Texas in August, and you will think this is winter weather), I am loving every minute of laying out and just being outside. The Germans think I am a strange, strange lady. I even got a "So you just lay outside on a blanket all day?!?". Yep I do...f*ckers.

Great, I'm already in a funny mood today :)

Oh! I got the best thing in the mail yesterday. No, not more Buc-ee's gear, but an awesome prize package from Mollie at OK in UK! I correctly guessed her picture of a Dyson hand dryer (duh, how could I not know what that was) and she promised goodies and boy, did she deliver.....
Blurred out my address, sorry stalkers! :)
I knew I was getting a Durham Cathedral magnet, but was totally unprepared for the Royal Wedding key chain and magnet (I know, try not to be jealous), a bag of Dolly Mixtures (an old timey British candy) and a delicious bag of Toasted Teacakes (coconutty goodness!). What a prize package!!

Thanks so much Mollie! I am loving every bit of it all!

Last but certainly not least - hmmm, actually had a lot to write about this Zombie Sunday - some very lovely ladies passed on some fun awards to little ol' me.

Sonia over at A Ladybug's Life passed on a very sweet stylish blogger award!!

Thanks girl!

And Kassi from My Road to Mrs. 'tagged' me in her fun post.
Since I am not a good award rules follower, bad blogger, bad, I will share my answer to only one of the fun questions tagged. It counts, right?!

Guilty Pleasure: Hmmm, I have lots. But right now, I am loving The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. Those bitches be crazy!! We are just know getting it on the satellite here and I am in love. Move over Orange County, you and your high pitched squeals are not my fave any more.

Oh, you want one more? OoooKkkkk, a bonus guilty pleasure: watching keyboard cat. Sorry, he needs capitalization: Keyboard Cat. Love him. If I am giggling to myself in the corner, the hubs knows I am watching it again. How can you not smile at keyboard cat?!
Don't think I am NOT putting my order in for this right now, 'cause I am. Awesome. (source)

So, thanks again gals for passing on your sweet award and Tiggity Tags to me :)

I hope ya'll are having a great Sunday. I plan on having a nice relaxing one....yeah effing right. If you need me, I will be the crazy fan, hard-core focused, staring daggers and good mental thoughts at the hockey game.

Yep, pretty much like this lady. I feel ya, I feel ya (source)

Zombie Sunday: 1/9

Welcome back again for another non-thrilling episode of Zombie Sundays (don't ya like the accompanying graphic?!). One more day of extreme couching, one more full day road trip for the hubs.

I really happy and looking forward to starting back teaching tomorrow. The language school went on a Winter Break these last few weeks. Yeah right, like that's what I needed after 6 weeks of teaching; a 3 week break. But, I have made the most of my time off and ready for the boredom to come to an end.

Over the last couple of weeks, we have been getting all these random packages from home in the mail. First of all, who doesn't love getting mail, REAL snail mail! It doesn't matter where you live, when you open your mailbox and see something other than bills and sweepstakes forms it's pretty exciting. I always feel like such a little kid ripping open packages, not even waiting to bring them inside to see what they hold.

And secondly, these little treats from Texas are the best things ever when you are over here. Nothing says lovin' from home like the wholesome - although highly unnutritional -American combination of Oreos, Smart Pop, Reeces, Mac and Cheese, and gossip magazines.

Never mind that is costs around $17 to mail two magazines and a handful of candy. It really is the the thought that counts. Thanks mom!

But, I don't really know how to react when I realize my mom has picked out magazines for my husband that feature front cover topics such as "How to score with Your Ex", "Become a God in Bed", and "Your Hottest Sex of the Year". A little mortifying, really.

In the hubs' defense though, the most recent People magazine came fully loaded with ridiculously shopped Bret Michaels pictures. Whose oil painted body did they use and then copy his head onto? He could totally be on the cover of one of those adult romance novel covers with this airbrushed job.

Fabio would be proud

Hope everyone else out in bloggyland had a much more exciting weekend than I did. A big shout out to everyone that has visited from 20sb.net, ya'll have been great! And thanks to everyone for the comments and support for TexaGermaNadian. I've updated my 'About Me' page, which can be found under "MY STORY: The Whirlwind". Have a look, get a better glimpse into my world. Thanks for reading :)

Oh, I promise to be wittier in the week :) Cut me some slack, it's Zombie Sunday!
